You’re Allowed to Change the Rules

You’re allowed to decide that your needs matter.

You’re allowed to stop managing everyone else’s emotions.

You’re allowed to rest without guilt.

You’re allowed to speak up, even if it makes others uncomfortable.

When you change the rules, people might push back.

They may try to remind you of “how it’s always been.”

That’s okay.

You’re not here to repeat the past—you’re here to write a new story.

Every boundary you set, every truth you speak, every time you choose yourself… you’re not breaking the family—you’re breaking the cycle.

And that is powerful work.
